Confirm the current revision
Provide the source file with its revision date, measurement units, and facility identifier. Include a reference drawing or exported view that a reviewer can inspect. Confirm accepted formats and any conversion requirements with the implementation team.
Organize the drawing
Label walls, doors, fixtures, and restricted areas consistently. Remove duplicate or obsolete geometry from the handoff copy. Keep a mapping between fixture names in the drawing and the identifiers used in your operating data.
Document uncertainty
List dimensions that need confirmation and areas that have changed since the drawing was produced. Include approved reference photos where useful. Assign someone at the site to resolve questions during model review.
